I did not, in fact! Hehe... but you must have sent in replacements... like Spidey! And...uh... me. Pretty sure I bumped a few people off into the grass...or a wall... oopsie.

CK, I know that pit wall VERY well, I swear I've run into that thing at BOTH ends (depending which Sunset Infield we're on) going full tilt... how I can forget that it's there every time, or not SEE the darn thing, I don't know... it's so embarassing! Probably faster to hit it though, than to get sucked into the pit lane and spend 5 minutes idling through....

Will do. Waldo - is there any way to really compare laptimes and your different tunings other than manually recording things & times? I can't see a way to review my laptimes.

Also - why so low on the tire pressure on the stang?

I'm definitely checking that out in a little bit. Get that all tuned up and maybe painted some this week. Thanks, Waldo.

If I can somehow figure out how to get a web pattern on the side and a spidey mask on the hood that would be killer-mega-super-sweet.

-edit-
that was not the post of my 36 year old self, but that of my inner child. please disregard.

Could always check the auction house and maybe buy one. And if you found one that didn't have the design locked, apply it to all your cars.

If we all race on the same track its possible to filter the times list by folks on your friends list.

Lower tire pressure means more grip. We typically don't race with tire wear on so the less the merrier. I am tweaking some things right now but I'll do a change log to the above post and also post the changes in a new post when I get done. They should be minor though. I feel the car has a little oversteer (rear end slides out when exiting) but there isn't much I can do about it other than slow it down with more downforce. We'll see what other's say before I do anything though.

Critique's welcome! How does it handle? Fast enough? Let me know please.

Lemme get 'er going and I WILL post constructive critiques. But since you are the master i will do so humbly.

This is where the wheel comes into play - you actually feel what is going on. If I can get it going I will get a MB for us to race sometime, but her power is hard to tame.

Spidey, Skinnee (Supermercado), and myself ran lots of test laps last night to get a feel for the car. Skinnee and myself felt the car was very well balanced. We made some slight adjustments on Spidey's recommendations that I felt did help. Spidey's opinion differed from ours however, so I need some more test drivers to give me some more feedback.

Also, this car will require some patience and testing before you actually get a good feel to how it handles. It isn't as simple as the CRX to drive, but is more rewarding.

If you goto forzamotorsport.net you can login and take a look at the "My Friends" Scoreboard.

I ran Laguna Seca in 1:32.679 and OneSkinneeJ ran it in 1:33.245. Nobody else has posted a fast time with the Mustang atm.

yeah, that's probably just a difference in preference. I'll put everything back to the posted settings and see what I can run.

seems like a good game, but it looks like it could be too much for me. seems like a super complex game to customize.

It doesn't have to be. I've put about 60 hours into it and this past Wednesday was the first time I've seen the tuning screen and that's only because Waldo forced me at gunpoint.

Agreed. 90% of the setup on most cars is fine with the default to be honest. Tweaking it to cut off those few extra seconds off each lap is what tuning is for. You can even do the lazy man's way and if you download a replay of a good player driving a car that you like and he seems to be doing a bit better job you can usually download his tuning setup and give it a spin.

Finally getting used to the car somewhat, I think the automatic was causing me tons of problems with weight transfer so I switched to manual. MUCH, MUCH better.

Still can't post some good laptimes because of a slip up or two on each lap. I'm at 1:38 and there is plenty of room for improvement. I'm just going to "tune car" then "test drive" to run freelaps. Don't know if that's what I'm supposed to be doing.

When I run laps, I usually go into Arcade rather than Career and then Free Run, I think it is. Hotlaps in the test drive don't get posted to scoreboards as far as I know, but the Free Run laps do.

Correct. Hot laps while test driving doesn't count.

Got the car and I am running around 1:42. I know sucks in comparison to you guys but in all honesty I just started playing Forza 2 about a week ago. I have about 6 hours in the game total. I admit I loved that little CRX you guys sent me from last week, NICE!!!

Basically I am just having a hard time keeping my a$$ on the road -- it's all over the place. I gave it about 30 mins of practice tonight and will do the same tomorrow.

See you guys on Wed.

**BTW someone will most likely need to "teach" me how to hook up with you guys on Wed as I have no clue how to do it -- Yes a total XBOX Live noob here sorry.

Thanks again Waldo!!

I will send you an invite on Wednesday. All you need to do is accept it and the Xbox will do the rest.

It seems several people are having problems with the car being very loose. (Tail end flying all over the place) I can tighten the car up a good deal by changing the rear downforce, ,but that will take away from the top end a good bit.

Need more feedback!

I think a lot of it is just throttle control. I can't really get on the throttle until well past the apex and the car is straightening out. So maybe 1/8 or no throttle at turn in, then feather 1/4/hold or no throttle through apex, then very slight until maybe the last bit of the turn and can go full.

All in all I have to be very careful with the throttle or my ass is going out and once it does it's very difficult to get it back in line. I think it's more technique problems than actual tuning.

I think Waldo suggested it Thursday night, spidey, but it may help to watch a replay (or spectate) of me or him and see any differences in throttle control. Really, though, yeah, the throttle control is very important. I don't watch replays of myself to know for sure what I do; I don't think about it during the race. Now I'm curious. Going to have to test that tonight and see what I actually do...

My gear selection on laguna seca, from starting line. I'm sure there is room for improvement.

Hairpin - 2, 3rd on exit, or just stay in 3rd to avoid overpowering.
Right - 4th
Right - 4th
Left - 4th
Slight left before going up hill - 5th, almost top out 6th up the hill.
Corkscrew - 2nd, 3rd on exit
Big sweeping left - 5th
Right - 4th
90 degree left before start/finish straight - 2nd

It's been a few days since I've really run Laguna but that doesn't seem too far off, if not exactly what I do. I think one thing that's different is the second turn (the right after the left after the start/finish [I call the last turn the hairpin, so I just wanted to be clear]) is I'm in 3rd for that. 4th probably would work but I seem to recall that turn not being quite fast enough for 4th. I could be wrong. I'm going to run some laps tonight and see. I want to say that the sweeping left after the corkscrew is 4th at entry and accelerate to 5th about halfway through.
