No, I don't think you can paint any of the R-class cars. Didn't think of that...they have their own numbers on them already... :-(

I have a few R1s to choose from -- not sure how many -- to start practicing on...

If anyone wants a free Corvette Race car (it's the tiger striped one), just let me know and I'll gift it to you.

You can't paint or upgrade any R-class cars that I know of. I think it was Ty that said you could paint the 50 MS point Puegot (there's no way I spelled that right I don't think, silly French ), though. I think the Ferrari is harder to get than the other R1s but I'm not sure on that. I know I don't have it and I think I'm several levels from even unlocking it.

I just said no Ferrari because (as said) it's easily the best and when racing against it you can really tell the difference in acceleration. I figure take it out and that way we won't have 8 Ferrari's on track. I dunno, that was just my suggestion.

Yeah, the Peugeot 908 is the only one you can paint.

Alot of the cars are tough to get in game, I've bought an R1 Ferrari in the AH for under $20,000 before though. Heck, I've bought a few of the R1's for $5k before.

I say we axe the Ferrari, most of the others are pretty close in speed.

I've got several R1's if anyone needs one, mostly Audi R8's though. If anyone needs one just lemme know.

Typically the most expensive/hardest to get cars are the slowest actually (Caddilac, Toyota...which is sad because the GT One is one of my favorite cars).

Sorry I haven't gotten the poll up yet this week. Been hectic and haven't been able to get back on the 360 since Wednesday night. I've gotta run some errands tonight but will try to get a new poll up tonight.

I just checked the connection and it's open. I guess maybe my ISP was having a bad night or the wireless doesn't work too great for hosting.

With gooing with no Ferraris are all the R1s pretty much the same?? ie handling, accel, speed etc.

I was thinking maybe we should go ahead and decide on the car for the week after R1 week. We could start tuning and painting now since there won't likely be a whole lot of either for R1 week, I don't think.

So I bought a McLaren F1 GT on the auction house today for a steal, and since we had no paint job this week I figured I'd make one for my newly acquired vehicle.

With no real direction in mind and 3 hours of free time I came up with this:

McLaren 1
McLaren 2
McLaren 3

I think Im addicted to painting cars. If there were only some way to turn the credits from forza into real money...

Hrm, you could always sell your Forza credits on ebay to make some $$, although I think around $50 million in Forza = $5 US or something like that...

Just got Forza 2, so put me in (gamertag is Corellias)...although probably out for this week and I don't have any R-level cars yet as I'm trying to level myself up (highest I have so far is S level cars)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but there are R1 cars available outside of the garage, correct? I think that you don't have to specifically own an R1 but can use one of the two (I think) that are available by default. I think there are two Audi R8s that you could use.

Yes, you don't have to own a car to use it in MP -- there are cars available to use in every class...well, I'm 99% sure there are.

I haven't spent enough time practicing either!

R1 cars, frankly, are terrifying. Coming down the hill at Maple Valley flat out is scary enough in an A class car at ~140 or so. But doing the same thing in an R1 at 180+...? Jeepers. I don't know about the rest of you guys but unless I'm caught up in trouble, on a long straight, or in the lobby, I don't think there will be much chatter during the race from me. Things happen far too quickly in the R1s to be flapping my gums, especially on small tracks like Tsukuba. I hardly even have time to accelerate and upshift before it's time to brake and downshift before the next turn.

Definitely going to need more laps in each race this week, though, fast as these cars are.

I'll be practicing this evening, around 8:30 EST. I've been trying to run without ABS as they seem to stop much quicker without it but the margin for error is very slim.
