Loaded up FM2 to write down the specs for a car that I liked that will work for this week. There are quite a few differences in upgrade choices for it between the two games, to the point that I can't completely copy it over. Now I just need to find the time to finish it up before wed.
FM2 specs don't transfer well for FM3 cars, FYI. If you want a quick and easy tune without relying on the storefront, look up Feuerdog's calculator on the official FM forums. I have an old version, I assume a newer one is available, and it works really well for me. It gets me about 90-95% there and I tweak a bit to my satisfaction.

So I tuned up a Porsche 916 and it's pretty decent. It really doesn't impress a whole lot for power, but the handling is okay. I think next is my 1960 Vette, currently D-class. It should be pretty fun in B-class

I'd like to try the Aston Martin DB5, but all this buying & tuning has depleted much of my credits. The DB5 would wipe me out

No kidding! I had 3mil a few weeks ago and now I'm down to 500k lol

Anyone know what a good race is for fast money?

The one from FM2 that I was working on re-creating just had a calc tune on it. One of the biggest differences is in the upgrades I used in FM2 vs the choices in FM3. I still need to go back over the choices along with running it through a calc.

I never did really care for the old muscle cars in FM2. Not really enough handling for my tastes.

Money does go pretty quick. For this wk buying just the 1 car and the parts for it I've spent somewhere between 200k-300k. I'll have to get back to the career before too much longer, even though that next race is at New York, and I really don't like it at all.

You all spend too much

Then again when I had "the glitch" in my possession I picked most of the cars that I figured I'd use alot (all the supercars, most of the good sports cars) and bought every single upgrade for them (minus all the wheels). And since those are the cars I like to use if I can use 'em for a week it costs me maybe $3000 for a new wheel style and the rest is covered.

I'm such a cheater... :awe:

tsk tsk.

i set it to do a couple enduro races a day - one before i leave for work and one when i get back. that + online/single player winnings is enough to keep me well funded. I was up to ~12 mil at one point. but now experimentation for wednesday nights has got me down to ~9.

there are ways to buy forza 3 credits, but i'm not sure if that's frowned upon by the community or MSFT, or if there could be any consequences. personally I :awe:steer clear:awe: and just hire AI drivers

How much more PI does the car need to have to use the worst driver (keep most winnings)? or what driver/race do you use?

Yeah, I know it's so wrong but hey, I had a Shelby Daytona Coupe 3 days after the release. Not like I was planning on using it to destroy the economy (I contacted T10 letting them know about it).

It was alot easier to earn $$ in FM2. I typically just bought region locked cars and sold them for profit on the AH, it was so easy.

I know that OSJ bought some FM2 creds on ebay for like $5, it may be "frowned upon" but I don't really see the harm (other than my ego not letting me spend real money on video game items/money).

if i remember correctly the cheapest one pays out about 100k with everything turned off i think, which is in line with other races as time/money reward.

Yeah, the hired drivers don't need any assists so turn them all off for maximum creds. Typically I'd go with any non-"R" enduro as if you build an S700 car it's probably going to be faster than all the competition's rides. In the "R" classes it'll probably be alot more faster and to insure you get the most cash you want your guy to win every time.

Hmmm, so ~50K after driver commission. Might be worth it, could get 100K/day to help out as needed. Unfortunately if the TV is on, the Xbox is used probably 90% of the time so I'd have to do it at night & when I'm at work. (And when the missus isn't home either )

I think it's around $100K per race with all assists off. That's after the driver takes his cut.

I think!!!

I did a few of the endurance races, the highest came out to $85k after fees. This is without assists, w/clutch. The La Sarthe race was the easiest. Just use the Koenigsegg.

I still have to monitor it so the controller doesn't go to standby, otherwise the game gets paused...

I haven't started yet. I've received 4 new games in the past 2 business days and am trying 'em all. I'll have a car ready in time though.

Yeah, I used to buy a used game (rarely bought new games) every 2-3 months. Lately though with all of Amazon's credit and such I've been buying alot more (although all these I got in were trades).
