Forza 3 game night - part 2

Anyone know if the copy of forza 3 thats bundled in the spring bundle comes with the free dlc code?

I haven't heard anything on it but I would suspect it's the standard version w/o the DLC.

Kabob - Sure I don't see why not. Any mini cooper as long as it is A Class.

If possible keep the rocket cars out if you don't mind so we can have competitive racing (Famous -- you hearing me )

If you wanna do that, I'd say amend your regulations. The cars I built for tonight are all rocket cars, because otherwise I just end up getting passed on the straights. I'd say maybe make it a B-class Mini? That way it's still powerful enough to be fun and challenging, but no 800HP straights monsters that will pwn everywhere except the dang Sidewinder circuits.

This is why HP caps are so handy

HP cap works for me. IMO the thing that is fun about the Mini's is how tossable and fun to drive through the turns they are. Max A-class with no other limitation would ruin that IMO.

HP caps should be combined with a PI cap though, otherwise its easy to abuse weight reductions.

I don't think I'm going to be playing xbox for a few days/weeks. Some f*cktard ran a red light and hit me and my girlfriend tonight. We weren't in my car and she was about to purchase a new one, but my shoulder is nice and screwed up. Have fun guys.

It was a lot of fun, with V8 swaps and what not, but we need an HP cap. I am guilty of abusing it

FF600 is insanity... the fact is that with an HP cap, many FF cars won't be able to reach A600

Sorry that the racing died so quickly last night. After Loth left and we changed everything up and then we had the mass console freezing (which has happened a few times in Forza 3)...so odd.

The Leon SC was actually a great car in A600 (er, A595 or whatever) but in the straights it was eaten alive.

Despite the short racing last night I still had fun!

Not quite. I think the classes are a little faster than their FM2 counterparts but not a whole class level.

Yeah, I switched to OSJ's 360 CS and it was pretty awesome. Wish I had a competitive Porsche to handle it but unfortunately I don't.

Came across it randomly. I checked out the newest "issue" and it *could* have some value. I can't get past the car "reviews" that attempt to review a car as though they really flogged it around a track, drove it for a week or much less even sat in it. Call me a cynic or jaded, but REALLY - it's a game folks.

The driving, tuning and painting tips COULD be really helpful. But of course with free contributors comes poor writing. And not just bad grammar, but an entire article that rambles more than it instructs.

I don't mean to be entirely condemning - I come across that way a lot. Cool effort, nice production, I just see a lot of wasted potential in the writing and types of articles.

with a lot of effort and some better writers it could be useful...the first two issues were pretty "meh". they should cut out the car reviews. The track guides could be useful if they could get top racers to do the walk through. a "how to draw x" section would be cool too, as would tuning guides.
