Yeah I usually run 30% accel/0% decel on FF and don't mess with it. Diffs are one area that I don't mess with in tuning. Interesting

Hopeless - I don't think you really need more than one car. Maybe more than one tune for the car, depending on the track. But I bought both the coupe & the D-class Mini and they seemed to have the same upgrade options. I didn't figure there was much difference in the two, but I didn't bother spending the coin to upgrade the regular D-class Mini when the coupe started out slightly better.

Ok that's what I wasn't sure of as I didn't get around to trying either of the other two and wasn't sure if they might have some different upgrades.

There's no engine swaps or aspiration upgrades for either, and all the engine mods seemed to be the same. I think you're good to stick with the Coupe.

If I have time, I may tune one for short track that has no long straights, with downforce essentially, and one without.

Are there really any tracks that DON'T have a big straight anyway? Maybe the sidewinders or test tracks? I guess that test track with all the bump strips doesn't...

This is gonna be some really close racing due to the similarity in upgrades/power.

Well I have mine setup with a bought tune and I hate it.

The mini I had in FM2 was a great car, fun to drive, handled well and actually was one of my favs as I was competitive with it.

This one has her a$$ all over the place. I'll either have to live with it as is or somehow manage to figure out an upgrade path and tune on my own right before we race as I won't get home until 8ish or so since I have soccer practice tonight.

Oh what I wouldn't give to have my old Domino's Pizza mini from FM2!!

I tossed together a coupe, highest one of the 3, last night. I thought it turned out ok.

Afterward I decided to play with the storefront & I'm pretty sure I uploaded the tune for it. Although I've noticed that tunes I've downloaded are locked I didn't see any place to set it to be locked or not.

Yeah that is what sucks about the storefront ones. I would like to go in a tweak the one I have to deal with my rear end issues!

Greg - if I get the lift-off oversteer sorted, I will publish my Coupe's tune specs here. I agree, store tunes are a pain.

I'm really hoping to make it tonight, but I have a busy evening and my fiancee needs some help with her homework. *snicker* I'll try to at least join for the first 30 minutes!

I did a little testing while working on setting the final drive and I didn't notice lift-off oversteer on mine. Now you've got me wondering if mine is that different than yours or if I just didn't do enough testing to notice it.

Mine is *very* noticeable. I've only done my testing on Laguna Seca so far, but it comes out especially in that fast left turn after the cork screw. I left off the gas and turn in around 80-85mph. The rear end slides around, but I think the front tires are scrubbing too. Need to watch the telemetry to confirm.

I softened up the rear and it made it less on/off and more controllable, but it's still easy to get turned around if I go into a turn too hot.

Yes. Although I admit I didn't feel like testing multiple cars so I never drove the others. I chose this one though.

Being all secretive I see. :hmm:

Also with you racing on your off weds post up if / when your off & I'll add you into the pick rotation.

I'm posting this from my phone. Dinnere turned into dinner and a movie. I may be able to catch the tail end. I'm in the 815 robin hood. Have fun.
The car... the coupe is ugly to me, and the cooper has the best weight distribution. I never got oversteer. It's 2295lbs, 360 hp, 302tq, 57% weight distribution

Car was a beast (not a good beast though). Still, fun to race you guys. Sorry I jetted soon, I checked on my wife one last time (and was there longer than I intended) and came back and two of you had left.

I take it not too many people showed up. I got on, late as usual, and no one was racing.

There were 5 of us but we broke up right after 9PM Central. I saw you get online, it was maybe 10 mins after we'd quit.

We had myself, Kabob, oversteer (mario), famous, & blowfish (GCS).

The A600 Mini's were certainly interesting But not bad at all. Later we opened up to any FF A600.

Man I sure picked the wrong car for Maple Valley. I figured I would try my pocket rocket - hah! Every single lap, I plowed into the grass on the first long sweeper.

Shall we PM Waldo to make his pick for next week?

Speak for yourself, you actually tuned your car. Mine was awful!!

Waldo said he'd be gone this week, hopefully he'll check back and make his pick for next week, we can PM him in a day or two if we hear nothing.

Well I'm pretty sure I still finished last in almost every race regardless of my tune. I was racing terribly last night.

Oh and I forgot about the little foray into R1

It's in Canada. Between exchange rate and importation costs, could be the case. I can't say I'm up on Porsche pricing - it's all too damn expensive
