Yeah it looks and plays amazingly on pretty much anything if you don't force everything to max (and even then...). Very impressive.

I played on different circuits at 1440p MAX and I did had fps hit bellow 60 on heavy rain in Brands Hatch (Indy Circuit Rain), unlike SPA that seems to hold 60fps even on rain.

Playing it on a 1440p screen with dsr @ 4434 x 2494 resolution max settings and still 60 fps on a single 980ti.. think my i7 980x is bottlenecking a bit when there's a lot of cars on the screen, time for upgrade soon I guess.

After quite some testing, I found out that on my secondary system the Dxtory OSD actually works, as long as keep the framerate to dynamic. Anything else and the OSD disappears. lol

On my 970 system, there is no OSD no matter what. Go figure.

Also the windows store, did not allow me to even install the game, when I had my old 5850 on that system. Once I switched it to my 7950 the install option lit up again.

Once inside the game, it did not allow me to set the settings to ultra. It said only up to high can be achieved. Seriously? They are going to tell us how to set up our games now, even if it's only for testing?

The whole thing is getting beyond silly. No game is worth the lack of freedom microsoft is pushing pc gaming into.

Seems to be an issue with your computers. On my laptop, I can set all the graphics options to whatever I want (I run everything maxed and hit 50fps average) and DXTory works no matter what the framerate setting is.

My laptop is a GTX970M and i7-4720HQ with 22gb ram.

5850 - Thats not DX12 capable, so yeah makes sense.

7950 - Ram is the limitation, it won't let you pick settings that use over the cards ram. Other games are doing this and have been for a while now. Pretty sure Shadow of Mordor was one of the first. GTA too I think. Hitman as well.

Regarding the OSD with Dxtory:

I noticed that it works with Dynamic, 30 VSync and 60 VSync but the new non-vsync options it doesn't work with. Guessing those are using a different flip method (iFlip Immediate) which Dxtory doesn't support yet? I'd see it come back during loading screens and such where it was sync'd and as soon as I changed the option back to the other modes it would re-appear.

I was able to play this game 3 days ago and now it no longer loads. Gives me an error saying my system can't run DX12. UWP still needs some polishing up.

Hold page up while you click Cancel and it should work fine.

I didn't want to run it on the 5850. I just had that installed at the time, doing some testing after it went some heavy baking and wanted to see how stable it was. I just wanted it to download until I finished the testing and then switch cards. You can't even do that.

The 7950 has managed Mordor and GTA V at way above settings its specs could handle.

Here are a couple examples from my videos at the moment I showed the settings I used. Sorry for the bad quality of the Mordor video. Didn't have a digital recorder at the time.

SHADOW OF MORDOR 1920X1080 ULTRA RADEON 7950 @1.1Ghz CORE i5-2500K @4.8GHz

Grand Theft Auto V 1920X1080 v.high 7950 @1.1Ghz CORE i5-2500K @4.8GHz

both runs were quite decent considering the age of the card and the way above specs needed according to the games.

In any case, it's the player's choice what to use, not Microsoft's or anyone else's.

I honestly don't know what Dxtory's problem is with my systems. There's something weird going on for sure. Totally different systems, apart from Win10 on both.
