Forza Motorsport 2 Demo on Xbox Live

Liking the demo, shame about the jaggies on the cars atm, but I think its jsut not the full rendering engine to keep the download size down.

The bigger shame is us poor europeans have to wait till 8th June

The demo is fun, but the graphics are a bit dissapointing because of the JAGGIES
I hope the final game doesn't have as much jaggies.

it seems like cars slide around a bit too much - i don't fee like it's gripped to the road. i also don't like how you don't really feel/see bumps you go over. when you play PGR you def notice them a lot more. Also, the break discs glowing is a bit out of hand. Overall though, I still like it. I'll prob buy it if the jaggies are fixed.

If the car is sliding around, it's not "gripped to the road." You're sliding because you're either trying to go through a turn too fast, oversteering, accelerating too quickly out of a turn, or braking hard while turning. Forza's a simulation, you can't play it like it's an arcade game. If you're sliding around too much your tires will get hot and have even less traction and you'll slide even more.

You don't really feel/see bumps you go over because the track in the demo is a purpose built race track. There aren't a whole lot of bumps.

I assume all the brake rotors glow in the demo for "wow factor." In the actual game, stock brakes won't glow red, only the high performance carbon ceramic ones will, just like in the original.

Q: In the final game, will damage have consequenses for the behaviour of the car or is it just cosmetic like the demo damage is?
A: The full game will have simulation damage, which means you can royally mangle your car. The demo is a slice of the exhibition arcade mode wherein damage is only cosmetic.

How cool is that? 302 cars to mash up!

I think i read somewhere, they'll be variable weather too. Im not 100% on that...but im hoping.

The only downside is there's only 12 circuits, which is a shame, but im sure they will add more in the future...
