I've been looking for a house for the last few months and wasn't having any luck finding anything that I liked or was decent. Went to look at one today and instantly fell in love.

I'm going to put an offer in for it. This is my first house and will be my first time living by myself.

I am really excited about this.

Congtars man, I'm closing on my first home on the 18th as well. 21 years old and already buying a 3 bedroom in the suburbs!

Congrats! It's what happened to me not too long ago. Walked in, knew it was the one, clogged the toilet full of poo, and bought it. We move in next Saturday.

Nice, congrats! Just put in an offer on a house myself. Exciting and kind of nerve-wracking.

Good luck! I've been looking for a few months myself, but havent found that perfect craftsman bungalow fixer upper that I always wanted. Well, not at what I want to spend anyways. God damned investors inflating the market with their shitty upgrades.

You should put up a Realtor.com link, so we can take a look at it!

Pictures would be nice... whether he wants us all to drop by and "greet" him is something else.

Congratulations.

I'm waiting for the housing bubble to pop in my country, then a year or so to bottom before I buy.

I'd make a deposit, and spend a day and night just sitting around/driving around the neighborhood.

I'll post photos if I end up buying it. I don't want to post my possible address on the forum.

2 bed, 1 bath, 1 acre, all appliances included (washer, dryer, fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, even a large ice chest). It's in excellent condition and I shouldn't have to do anything with it.

Will have inspection and all that done just to make sure all is good though.

Congrats again man. I had been thinking about getting a little of a fixer upper, but wound up deciding on a fully renovated with all new everything but garage door. I don't think you'll regret getting one that's already in great shape that you can move right into. I know I'm not

You should drive from the house to your work and back, during your usual times, every day for five days.

Also, in love with a house is a stupid position to be in; so be EXTRA careful because you'll have a lot of self-destructive love-serving bias.

traffic would be extremely light from my bedroom to my office.

hint: I work from home

The house is maybe 15-20 minutes from where I live now, so I already know what traffic will be like if I do have to start traveling to work again.

Good luck man. We're in the same boat, found a house we really like but we're going to see what else is out there. It's been on the market for over a year and we think it's overpriced. We're def going to lowball, here's hoping he goes for it.

Congrats...i spent ~6 months looking myself (well go out to 5-6 houses every 2-3 weeks) and when i found the house i bought you just sort of know its the one. Only advice i could say is have your parents or friends or someone else (or 2 or 3 people) come and look at it with you. Different perspectives are always nice and can make you realize things you hadnt seen before (like only 1 cable outlet in each room with it being on what i consider the walls you wouldnt put the tv lol).

Still congrats!

I've been looking since about September of last year. only looked at maybe 7 or 8 total before this one. Someone else told me you'll know when its the one and like I said, when I walked in, I was like, wow, this house is amazing.

although it didn't help that most of the previous houses ended up being either total shit holes when I got there or weren't too bad but still needed a lot of work.

My father went with me on all of the viewings as he knows more about what to look for than I do. He really liked this one too.
