Found these kittens outside my bedroom window

Well, I got ahold of a local no-kill shelter and they are on their way to getting cleaned up and adopted I wish I could've kept them, as they are damn cute!

I hope for their sake that they are adopted soon. Most no-kill shelters are anything but. The take in more animals than they can handle and then when the animals get sick they can euthanize them if they determine they are too costly to treat.

That was the first question I asked the lady who came and got them. "What is your kill policy?" She assured me that, because they were so young and absolutely adorable, they would get adopted very quickly. I'm am going to be naive and make myself believe this lady, and think of them going to loving families!

And to Alkemyst - there are a small handful of cases of people using Craigslist for that purpose; it doesn't mean that it's common. It's almost achieved urban legend status - something loosely based on a few events that actually have happened. The most common promoter of this being "common" is PETA. Yeah, they're really honest about stuff like that.

The third one looks like my kitten Ghost almost exactly. The black one looks like my kitten Shadow. If the first one was the same pattern as the third one but black instead of grey then that one would look like my kitten Charlie and I would have thought you had stolen my kittens with a time machine. Since those kittens looked like that about a year and a half ago.

I'd say check with family or craigslist. I gave away two kittens to family and the last one over craigslist easy enough. Of course I paid for spay/neutering ($25 each at a low cost place). Just didn't want to give an animal away that wasn't fixed first.

i don't use PETA as a source. I am a bit more knowledgeable in this than most since I am pretty active in that community and other animal charities.

But I guess you think people aren't keeping large snakes nor dog fighting out there.

To the other poster...no-kill shelters will euthanize those animals that would be too costly to save. Usually kittens get good care save if they are FPV/AIDS positive.

Disease outbreaks are a constant battle in shelters. Those that don't stay healthy though get quickly sanctioned.
