Fox baseball coverage is disgraceful

Philly - Atlanta
SF - SD
Yankees - Boston

And they're carrying the Yankees. The only one of the 3 games with little playoff implication. What the hell? At least give us one of the first 2.

I sure can't wait for Joe Buck in October.

also the reason NY v Boston is on is because it draws the largest number of viewers

hell both teams could be 100% out of the playoffs and it would still draw more viewers then pretty much any 2 other teams

this is the prime reason i subscribed to extra innings this year. that way i get choice every day what game i want to watch. i can not stand Tim McCarver, know it all who needs to shut his mouth.

Extra Innings doesn't get the Fox Saturday games. It sucks. I get EI too, but it seems Fox has done a number here.

Yeah, I get that. I'm familiar with basic economics. It still sucks balls (hurrrr) to watch a meaningless game when there are two others going on that mean something. At least arrange some secondary market rights on Comcast Sports Network and MLBN for whatever Fox doesn't want to show in a given region.

They did, but they don't pick up secondary coverage of whatever Fox isn't showing in the area. Would be nice if they did and just blacked it out locally, but their licensing doesn't cover the fox saturday slot.

I don't think you're getting the gist of it. North Carolina --> ME will broadcast Yankees because they still have something big to play for whereas Philly doesn't and most of Yanks fanbase is located in this area.

South Carolina-->South will broadcast Atlanta because they still have something big to play for. See how that works?

If you really want to watch the games, then pony up the $15 for MLBTV for the rest of the season. It's not that big of a deal. I pay the $20 for MLBAudio which is nice for when I'm working at home/in the office and I can listen.

Atlanta hasn't clinched a spot at all. They still have something to play for, concurrent with the SD-SF game. I understand why NY-BOS is on (tv draw, advertising, etc) I just think it sucks.

I already have Extra Innings. You'd think those of us with that package would not have to deal with this bullshit. I'm not saying I need to watch the Phillies right now, even though I'm a Phils fan. I just want to see a game that fucking matters.

Boston is irrelevant, and I really don't care if the Yankees have to go on the road to play Minnesota or not if there's another game that has team implications and not just seeding.

I'm West Coast, and we're getting Yankees. Lame. But I'm a huge Phillies fan and I hate when Fox covers the games. I have MLB at Bat for a reason, but can't watch every game I guess.
