I did a quick browse of cable news channels before leaving. Fox is the only one of the big 3 not covering the protests live. This is the biggest news story today and they are barely mentioning.

This the same bullshit that causes their loyal listeners to be the most politically misinformed. (multiple surveys have proved)

He knows that infrastructure spending, etc. would have helped the economy recover faster, so he didn't want to put the country first and took action to try to keep Obama from getting reelected. Those of you calling these marches a protest are totally misunderstanding and (deliberately) misinterpreting what is occurring in order to make your "snowflake" and crybaby strawman arguments.

I attended the rally in my state, listed to all the speeches, read the multitude of (all homemade) signs and talked to a bunch of people there. Sure people were disappointed in how the election came out, but the real purpose of the marches was to make it clear to Trump and his fellow travelers that they DON'T have a mandate. A large and energized portion of the population are going to push back on what we view as disastrous policies that Trump intends to pursue. Not once did I hear a speaker, see a sign or hear another call for an overturning of the election.

The rallies and marches are to make it clear that politicians that join in with Trump's alt-right utopian fantasies will face stiff and organized voter resistance the next time around. And we will be watching the current sitting Senators and Representatives to make sure they do everything in their power to prevent Trump's foolishness from damaging the USA too much.

This is not the first time a GOP president has been elected. This is the first time a president has been elected and people in other countries march against him in support of people here. More people marched against trump in DC today than showed up to celebrate him being inaugurated yesterday. Clearly that is a red flag that not all is well on the western front.
