My skepticism concerning September 11th conspiracies is based on two factors:
First, the extreme improbability of the Bush administration managing to cover up an operation of that scope as effectively as would be required for the paucity of evidence of said conspiracy.
Second, the apparent ignorance of most "Truthers", i.e. the appalling majority of theorists who insist that the wings of a 757 would have ripped through the reinforced concrete walls of the Pentagon, or who insist that a modestly skilled pilot would have been unable to fly into a target the size of the Pentagon or the Twin Towers (for just two examples).
