I remember a friend of mine saying the same thing in Doom many years ago, and more recently there was a thread here about the same thing in HL2. It's either the "bob" effect while walking or the FOV that bothers some people.

You'd definitely feel the nausea symptom at a lesser extent...
I don't feel it, except in rare occasions after many many hrs of playing CS:S

Yeah, change it to 100Hz if you can, 85 at least.

I think it's from not blinking. Civ doesn't require as much focus and attention as FPS games. Blink once in a while and keep your eyes moisturized, take a break at least once an hour.
