Damn, if I hadn't just ordered and received the Antec P183-V3, I would get this!

Hell, I would almost try to send it back except the restock fee (not ordered from Newegg) and the shipping.

Ha I almost went for the Antec P183 V3. But I wanted the fractal more so I decided to wait. I had to run my system about 1 week without case. I'm glad I waited.....I should have it friday..

I looked at the XL. Its too big for my tastes. It really wouldn't fit in my desk. That one is still out of stock though...

Was interested in this, but looking at it now I need three 5.25 external bays (or two + a 3.5). Bummer. Not in a hurry though, will just wait for the 650D.

Price wise, I paid about the same (maybe less with 5% cash back) as I got the P183 V3 for $129.99 with free shipping - $6.50 back from Discover ($123.49 total) but I like the looks of the Fractal better. Might have to retired "another" case in the house just to get this! :hmm::twisted:

Problem being is that I've spent my ass off on a system that was supposed to be a cheap build, lol. I'll probably just hold on and save to check out the new SSD's coming out. The P183 should be pretty quiet and if not, I'll quieten it down myself. It's damn temping though...thanks for trying to get me to spend more, lol!

That looks really nice for $110. It makes me think of the Corsair obsidian case.

Truthfully P183 is probably a better case. Fractal Design cuts some corners to sell the Define R3 at around $100, from what I've read it uses cheaper materials, cheaper paint job, etc. than the P183. Not that the Define R3 is bad, it's a great case for ~$100 (and I tend to prefer its looks to the P183 as well), but P183 really nice too. I'm sure you'll be really happy with it.

I have 7 hard drives currently installed to my main rig and definitely wouldn't mind having more.

On the flip side optical drives are becoming more and more obsolete, I honestly hardly ever use mine any more.

Well, why would you need another 5.25" external bay? I rarely even use CDs/DVDs anymore.

Personally, I was looking at the R3/XL for my home NAS/server. Those 3.5" bays would be nice for future HDD expandability.

I guess I don't need alot of either. I have 1 external drive and 2 hd's, one of which isn't even hooked up. My new system will have 1 ssd and 1 hd.

There's probably pretty good demand for these cases in the states, I still don't understand why it took Fractal Design so long to find a US distributor for them. They've been available in Canada and most other countries for ages.

I emailed Fractal a while back and they said Arc mid tower will be out in April on Newegg.

Why is everyone regretting their P180/P183 decisions? IMO, they're better cases than the fractal. I suppose that the fractal is a bit cleaner looking, but the P18_ seem better designed.

Look and build quality for me
