First the acting against Spain, and now the goal...

I had to watch it on Univision, because I don't have cable. The Spainish announcers were a helluva lot better then the ones I've heard on ESPN.

I was sad to see England lose today, but I am happy France won.

can someone explain to me where the foul was on Ronaldinho near the end. from the replays it looks like a clean tackle. both players got their feet on the ball and it just happen that Ronaldinho ended up with it.

the espn commentators, one of them said Ronaldinho had his foot over the ball. that's illegal?

From the looks of it he would have had a clear shot at the goal.

it wasnt a foul...but there were bad calls on both sides...like that foul on ronaldo when he clearly fell himself. In that case, the dude got a yellow card.

Anyway, I blame FIFA for the ref problems not the refs themselves for the most part. There is one guy running around trying to watch everything. If they had two or three refs, they could be watching from different angles and be more effective and could discuss certain things to get the best opinion.

yes, it's illegal to bring your foot above the ball when going for a tackle. you risk missing contact with the ball all together and stamping on the player's shin, increasing the risk of a broken leg.

just wish the ref hadn't called it at that moment. could have been a big play for Brazil

It was the big play there is no discussion about that. it was basically a one on one with the keeper sicne the only other defender was 4 yards away before he even saw it. I truely belive hats was the single best chance brazil had all night and the chance for ronaldinho it show the world why he is one of, if not the best. When the outcome of a game comes down to a made up call by a horrible ref, you know FIFA needs to do something, since this isnt the first game of the cup it has happened.
