Freakin PayPal Buyer Credit!

Have they ever considered the fact that some people just use cel phones? My cel phone is 202 (DC) area code. I live in a Mryladn Suburb...I always use that # as my "home phone" but it "doesn't match the area code for the address I put in."

Their software is so stupid.

what's the area code for your cel? What's the area code where you physically live?

Around here the local calling area includes at least 4 area codes--202, 703, 301, 240. It's plausible for anyone living in any of those area codes to have a cel phone in any of the other ones. Actually there is another one that starts with 5 that is also valid.

I live in a suburb but I have a DC area code because it's the most central of the 5 area codes, if that makes any sense.

I ended up using the home phone that I used to have before Verizon pissed me off for the last time. It went through with no problems.

I now have PayPal buyer credit.

Question: Are payments using PP Buyer Credit treated the same as Credit Card transactions in terms of charging the recipient fees? Or is this a way to use "credit" to pay people without them getting charged fees?

anyway, i didn't have a landline for a very long time until i got married... it was a pain in the butt to do anything and people would often question why i gave them a 917 telephone number (which generally is a cell area code) as opposed to 212. having a landline isn't helping since my area code is 347 and nobody knows where that is.
