The instructions say that I should uninstall any antivirus programs that I have, but I want to keep Norton installed to see if there are any differences. Do you guys know if it matters if I leave it installed?

O Yes dude! If you have both installed, then I'm sure you'll start to have a lot of 'wacky' windows problems, assuming your PC will even boot up properly into windows. Basically, with both programs running, the two AV programs will conflict, and cause all sorts of problems.

To sum up: Don't Do IT!!

I took advantage of this the last time it was posted. Excellent software to use. It's pretty paranoid so on slower systems you'll have to tone down the settings so it isn't crippled.

Otherwise I give it a

Note that they will call you and do a mini interview. I told the interviewer flat out that I use the software on my business computer, but am not involved wiith the decision-making process. She didn't sound pleased, but still wished me a positive experience, and wanted me to take her name & number should I have any problems.

And yes, the software and update process still works a month later.

I've signed up twice, and never got called. This is the first I'm hearing about them calling you up.

Why does one have to get a username? I seem to be getting updates automatically

I never got a username and password when I registered it so updating does not work. It does seem to update virus files on occasion. How would one go about getting a username and password without buying the product since I am just trying it for the 1 year.

I got he username and password in the email and I didn't buy the product. Did you use your valid email when registering before downloading the program?

You know, I didn't fill out the form at all because I used the link earlier in this post. So I went to panda's website and filled out the page and am re-downloading it. Then I'll wait for the e-mail so that I can update the program. Thanks.

Am I the only one that has had these people from Panda hassle the hell out of me since I did this? They call me at least 4-5 times a week asking me when I'm ready to buy. I told them the first two times that I was evaluating, and I would let them know when I was ready to buy. I would contact them. Of course I'm not buying, but I didn't feel it necessary to tell them that now, especially since I get the software free for a year. They've also sent me two emails, from different people wondering when I'm going to buy.

They have to make money somehow.

If any of you have problems or questions about Panda, please feel free to use the new Panda Antivirus Support Forum. I created a list of forums for every antivirus I was familiar with; I'm hoping this will help centralize a lot of the same questions asked over and over spread out all over the web.

I was contacted by Panda several times. I eventually uninstalled Panda AV to use Sophos, which my university provides for free.

According to their FAQ page for this, it only comes with one license, but all you have to do is contact them and they'll give you more licenses for all your computers at home for free.

Panda always seems to update everytime I go online. I get a little box at the bottom left corner of my screen saying things have been updated. I don't have a username so am I missing on updates that I don't know about?

I've used this on several PC's on my lan and am very pleased with it and I'm touting it's virtues at work as well.I've also been pleased with the communication I've had with the Panda support staff. This company is really intent on becoming a viable option for corporate users and they eagerly seek and respond to feedback concerning their products.

I've had several extensive convo's with the fellows at Panda and encouraged them to become members here at Anand's if they want more feedback/software testing from IT pro's.Let's keep offers like this flowing to us by giving these peeps the info they need to make their software more marketable.

The best things about this software: it's easy on system resources and configuring is simple

The cons: the registration process is annoying and cumbersome
