Slim pickin' on these Compaqs. Most stores have some of the Mirage 986's for $299 but Compaqs are rare. I found one store that had a 982 on display but the manager wouldn't let me have it for $130. I really want to find a 982, cause I have one monitor just like it (968? a little older, sweet monitor).
FWIW, I called Compaq, and they verified that you can buy as many monitors as you want and get one rebate for each monitor! Just as I quoted earlier from the Terms And Conditions, "one rebate per qualifying purchase". If you buy two on the same receipt just mail in two seperate photocopies in seperate envelopes.
Gotta love living in suburbs where it only takes 10 min to get from store to store. I've grabbed all the Compaqs I could find...but thats only a couple 15" from visiting six stores. I might hit a couple more tomorrow in hopes of finding a 982 or Compaq 17".
