chynkboi, I agree with harvey. Rape of companies puts them out of business or excludes many people once they get screwed by people not even interested in the product. Tell me, do you even know what to do when you get the kit? unlike ftwllet we here at anandtech do not take what we can't use. We love honest hot deals. What about you?

As far as not ordering this stuff for whatever reason - I'll give you my 2 cents. If a company puts up a free offer, then it opens itself up to this type of response. I am an electrical engineer / circuit designer. I know that I can get any sample of any IC that I need for a new design, and I don't need a free offer to get it. In fact, I have sales guys beating down my door all the time offering free samples, many of which I either refuse, or take and put in the junk bin - or better yet give to the students I teach at the local university (where I'm an adjunct professor). So if you are interested, order away. Analog devices is a big boy, you won't hurt their feelings...

I guess you didn't read/believe my previous post . From the package types most common on their web site, it seemed obvious that they would be sending out surface mount parts. Well, now you have a bunch of interesting looking stuff for the junk bin like Yellowfiero.

I didn't examine their entire website. I simply went to the linked page,
assumed they were similar to the IC op-amps I already have, and
ordered them.

Well, at the very least I can practice my surface mount soldering skills on these.

Junk bin my ass! Maybe you should watch what you say dude, I've been designing circuits for over 20 years (since I was in Jr. High). I happen to have a Metcal surface mount station AT HOME (and if you don't know what that is, do a search). Let alone all the tools at work. My basement probably blows away most electronics labs at some major companies. This is a hot deal for electronics engineers and if you were one, you would have read into it to see what kind of circuits these were, and the packages they were available in. Enough said....
