Of course you don't, because:

or

b) you're not sitting there and doing it yourself

BTW for autoplay issues (like the one guy who bluescreened), and those who dont want the IBM stuff starting up. Just hold down the SHIFT key. It bypasses autoplay. I've also heard it bypasses some copy protection schemes on music cds. Which now that I've mentioend that and violated the DMCA, they will be coming after me like they went and tried to sue the guy who originally posted a research paper on pressing shift key for music cds.

not even worth the effort....what can one do with 32MB

boot disk

Its about 20 floppies worth. Can do quite a lot in that much space. Lots of ppl still use floppies. I see people at college constantly get screwed by a floppy going bad with thier only copy of thier 3 month 100 page term paper (listen people at least make a backup copy once every few weeks lol) and I always tell them that floppies are pieces of crap that are unreliable and to use a cheap $10 USB flash. This is even better, its free

Now if you are referring to gigs of mp3s, no this wont help much. Go ahead and buy one of those 5 gig flash, or a larger microdrive, or a usb enclosure and shove a real hdd into it.

Success! I tried:

1) R10 - did this a bunch of times -- no luck.
2) R10 and BC5 - did this a bunch of times -- no luck. I believe BC5 resets the connection to the PC so it is just like unplugging and then reinserting the drive.

3) Did #2 a couple times, flipped over board and hit BC8, and then did #2 a couple more times. Wahoo! Golden.

You know it is clean when you hit BC5 and the LED only flashes a couple times. The flashing is directly related to the reading on bootup and the IBM stuff takes about 5-6 flashes to read while a clean bootup is about 2 flashes.

Thank you!

Mines came. Took it apart, grabbed a wire, raked the sin out of those resistors and then it showed up detecting a new device.

I don't believe you can format it anything besides FAT in windows. You may be able to format it as other file systems under linux though.

I meant with the built-in windows format utility, AFAIK.
