It seems like it took about one week to get the drive. I was able to format and use 26MB of the drive. I'm actually not sure if this was there all the time. When I inserted into my USB port, the IBM program started automatically. It lists this 2MB partition as a CD drive called "ITSM key." I'm not sure if the other 26MB drive was loading automatically, because I already have a card reader which lists a couple of "removable disks." I suggest you have My Computer running when you plug it in and see if another drive shows up, that is besides the 2MB IBM advertising stuff.
If not, you can get this space by going to Control Panel, Ad Min tools, Computer Management. Under the Storage, Removable Storage, Media section, you will see two listings for "USB Disk 2.0", which is what this drive is called. It won't let you do anything with the first one, which is the 2MB IBM advertising. But the second one, right-mouse click on this and choose "tasks, free." Once I did this, I found the drive, albeit with a relatively small 26MB of useable space.
Like I said, check and see if the space is there without doing the Computer Management stuff listed above. It would be most useful to be able to get rid of the IBM stuff because this autoplays on insertion.
Even with the 26MB of space, I still think the USB extension cable is the best part of this deal. If I can get rid of the stupid IBM autoplay stuff, this is a pretty nice little USB drive.
BTW, I suggest you "rename" the 26MB partition to something like "IBM drive." This way you know which key drive you are dealing with. Right mouse click in My Computer to rename the drive.
