If these discs are truely Kodak GOLD disks then they would be EXCELLENT! But i'm not sure what Silver+gold means, does that mean the botom data surface is gold and the top surface is silver?

I just picked up a "spindle." They are Kodak CD-R Ultima 1X-12X 650MB /74 Min. They look like pretty good quality cds.

I just picked up the CD's from CompUSA. They are an awsome Deal...Kodak Ultima CDRs...supposed to last 100 years and also has a protective layer on them to protect against fingerprints and so on.

When I picked them up my local CompUSA was out of stock on the rebate forms. I had to put my name on an envelope so they could mail me the rebate when they get them. I do not trust them.

If anyone has the rebate form can they help me? Can I get the rebate form online? Is there an 800 phone number? Can I get a copy? If anyone can help that would be great.

BTW...while I was at CompUSA I picked up Norton System Works 2000 (VirusScan, Utilities, Crashguard, etc) for $9.99 after a mail in rebate. WOW thats awsome!

These are a Great deal for free...Note that the ones CompUSA
is selling have blank label sides...They have the "infoguard"
coating, but no writing...The coating is silver in color...

Without the rebate (i.e. at 50 for $20) these are NOT as good
a deal as the 10 for $6 silver and golds at Microcenter. The
Microcenter CDs are 80 minutes AND come with jewel cases.

CompUSA B&M also has the 3M (Imation) 5 pack 80min CD-R "Music" free after mail in rebate. Any opinions on these vs the Kodak Silver & Gold?

this is some GREAT cdr media...
i picked up a few spindles for myself. have different addresses and accounts to deposit them all in.

TIP: if they're out of stock... i called their 800 number and the lady i spoke with offered to include a rebate form w/ my order.

I picked up a couple of these at the CompUSA in Albuquerque and the packages they had are not spindles -- but a simple stack of CDs with a paper wrap and plastic end caps all shrink wrapped together. To get the UPC you need to break the shrink wrap after which the disks are pretty much like a stack of chips at your local casino. Great deal though -- spindle or not. Kodak, 12x and free -- plus which it is 50 disks and not the piddling 5 or 10 usually offered on rebates.

If anyone else in the Atlanta area wants to pick up extras for people, the Buckhead CompUSA had a bunch of the forms left. I only picked up one spindle myself (was gunna get two on two reciepts, and mail one rebate to my mom, but I decided to be nice).

Oh yea. It does give a URL for http://www.rebatesHQ.com. I went there and couldn't find this particular rebate though. And there is no 800 number on the form either.

I also picked up several spindles..or more appropriately, cakeboxxes..they are not spindles.

They burn great. I also got extra reabte forms if anyone needs one, or I might even be able to scan it and put it into .pdf if I have time.

My question is now...i have so many without jewel cases...I would love to find a really cheap source of jewel cases, or clam shells would be even better. The best I found on clam shells is 500 for 100.00 which includes shipping... so thats .20 each. And actually, buy.com has the best deal on jewel cases...I think they have a 25 pak of slimlines for 6.46. anyone know of any better places to buy these things...i hate using wallets for the cds
