No. You can buy a 3 day trial for $3 (I've done it before) but they had a FREE trial this weekend.

I have been using usenetserver for a little over a year now, and I consistently max out my connnection (~1100k/s) with their service. The completion rate lately has been spotty at times (especially when uploading to usenet, if you are doing that), but for the most part they are reliable as heck.

Its definitely worth the money.

Usenet Newsgroups are the Ultimate Bulletin Boards. If it exists on the Internet, you can find it on Usenet. Anything from support to warez. Pictures of horses? Got that. Pictures of horses and bunnies? They probably have a group *dedicated* to it. The main use, tho is either warez\porn or support for... well... ANYTHING, cars, computers, horses.

I will advise caution for new users. If you are hunting warez, just like the P2P networks, make sure you have a good virus scanner ready. If grabbing porn, there are times when you think you are getting one thing, but you get another. Sometimes illegal other stuff. Be careful.

Oh, and search the Hot Deals forum for a large hard drive deal. You'll need it.

They are the best I have been using them for about 2 years now with very little downtime, Great download speed, I cant say enough good things about them.

The downtime if any is usually them upgrading the equipment well ahead of when they need to. They also have some great retension periods as well.

Giganews is joke compared to these guys.
