Free After Rebate At Circuit City!

I happen to like CC rebates.
Their process is very straightforward. Their tracking mechanism is excellent and their rebate checks are
models of clarity. They even print on the check what the rebate is for.
I have found that it takes them about 10 weeks to get the rebate to my door. I just got 7 rebates from them
over this past two days for purchases I made in early September (all free after rebate).
It seems to take about a month to get your name in their system and then another six weeks to cut and mail
the check.

In comparison to most others I would rate them a 9 out of 10.

I hate dealing with individual companies about rebates. Frequently I have to make a call for my check. Fellowes
and Belkin seem to be quite good. Sakar and K-Byte are horrible. I am still waiting for something since April. I have
a long list of documentation regarding my calls to them. Another week and I will be filling a complaint against
them with the FTC and the BBB.

Just sent in $107.00 in rebates from Staples on Friday 11/23/01. We'll see how long it takes to process these.

I got my last rebate from Circuit City for $60, so I'm pretty happy with them. I jumped on the STI CDR deal a few days ago.

I don't know why people complain about CC rebates-I've done about a dozen or more of them, and all have come through. Usually takes about two months.

Now if you were complaining about Staples or Viewsonic rebates I would understand-been stiffed (or hassled) by them more than once.

I like the CC rebates as well!!

I mailed in the for the free after rebate Firewire card deal they had (I think during the summer) about 6 days late (my fault)....
But they still honored it np at all...


All my other rebates have come no problem at all either...most of the time in a month or two...

I for one feel safe waiting for a rebate from Circuit City!

I've had no problems with CC rebates. I always photocopy all the stuff I send in and if there are any problems I can sort it out, like when Sprint tried to screw me out of a $100 cell phone rebate, called them up, had all my photocopies ready, check was in my mailbox within a week.

FYI, Circuit City now has a rebate tracking website at www.circuitcityrebates.com.

Also, remember to make them enter your phone number when they ring up your order in the store, and your rebate forms will print pre-filled with your name and address!

As for unfulfilled rebates, I had a problem with $10 worth of DLink rebates that CC rejected because I mailed it in too late (I did, but hoped they would honor it anyway since they had set the mail-in date for their half of that rebate earlier than DLink's, which I thought was very sleazy of them -- I looked at a rebate form to see whether I had time to mail them in and looked at the Dlink one instead of the CC one). Anyway, I took the letter and my original receipt to my local store and spoke to the manager, who I've gotten friendly with of late (since I complained about not getting circulars with my newspapers). He refunded me the $5 I was supposed to have gotten from each of the 2 cards that I purchased. Needless to say, I am a very happy CC customer now (that plus they've had all the stuff I wanted in stock). Oh, and I ordered those camera bags on Saturday night since I didn't pick them up in the store, and they shipped on Sunday and were delivered on Tuesday!

I've seen nothing from the 56k modem deal in June and nothing from the Delta DVD drive in August...

I'm impressed with the $70 I received from Staples - very fast service and nice e-mail messages to let you know that they received the rebate request too

I agree about the staples rebate, they are fast. Also, I get e-mails telling me that they received the forms, which is good since I sometimes forget what is send in.
