If those TDKs are Taiyo Yudens that is a great deal. (it will have the plastic screw cap the size of an old silver dollar holding the plastic lid to the base)

BTW when I say great deal, its hard to get excited when yuo have 300 blank CDRs available.

ALL CompUSA rebates take 5 months, sometimes longer if you don't follow up on them, call fullfilment house, rant rave and threaten to contact FTC, BBB et al. So dont take it personally about Imation.

Funny, I find that at Best Buy on-line and there's an instant but no link to MIR at the moment. $9.99 shipped free + tax.

Both the 10$ rebate and the 2$ rebate require UPC's.

There is only one UPC. One of the two rebates (I think the 10$ one) is from TDK themselves. Which one should I send the UPC to?

Send the original UPC to TDK for the $10 rebate and send a copy of the UPC to CompUSA $2 rebate. Send a note with the $2 CompUSA rebate explaining the issue. You may also want to send a copy of the ad also and make copies of everything. If CompUSA denies the $2 rebate then go back to the B&M store and complain. This sounds like a lot of work for $2 but I would do it just to irritate those CompUSA weasels. They are always pulling stuff like this.

The compusa rebate is such a scam I remember they had the same rebate going back a few months ago. You have to submit an original UPC code for each rebate, the $10 and the $2 rebate. since there was only one UPC symbol I chose to go with the $10 and cut my losses with the $2 rebate. Sometimes I don't know why COMPUSA bothers having two seperate rebates each requiring a UPC symbol when it's impossible to collect on both of them with only one UPC symbol.

BTW, I also tried sending a copy of the UPC symbol for the $2 rebate but when I checked it online they rejected b/c it was a photocopy. A few months ago, $2 wasn't worth the aggravation but looking back I wish I did just to see if I can get back my $2.

hehehe, Aimail, i know what you mean i have 550Cds... Imations, Phillips, TDK, and TDK Taiyo Yudens . And i got screwed from the "GC" discs. those things suck big time. Anyways is there a real quality difference between the two TDK versions ? I haven't tested them out because i use the crappy "GC" to burn audio tracks.


Ummm anyways what was i saying ? Oh yea, a while ago a similar rebate poped up... having to send 2 upc for the same item. After sending a photo copy of the upc, reciepts, and an explanationg they refused to give me the rebate ($5) then i went to CompUSa and while waiting in line the person ahead of me was also complaining about it the Manager gave him a store credit for the $5 and to me as well. I dunno if they still do that, but if all else fails... bitch them out
