Toothpaste is expensive so I reuse it. The trick is when you brush your teeth, spit in an old glass mayonaise jar. It has to be glass...the thicker the better. Once you get 2 or 3 days worth of "paste" saved up and you're baking something in the oven, place the jar, sans lid in the oven after you're finished baking. The heat will help the spit evaporate and you'll end up with paste in the bottom of the jar. Simply dip your brush in the paste and you're ready to go again...just remember to use another spit jar if you want to keep the cycle going.

I do buy a new tube of toothpaste about every 6-8 months. If you go any longer than that, it's just nasty.
