Free Basecamp Alternative

Hi,

I'm looking for a web-based project management system that is basically Basecamp - e.g. to-dos (with comments), email notifications, messages, writeboards (or some document management), simple and user-friendly interface - but for free.

Also I would prefer a self-hosted one that I can host on my own server.
