As being called "aStrOgUy" is because I like astronomy...most astronomers like optics(telescopes and binoculars) Trust me I have tried these junky binoculars before, these are not realy binoculars but toys, they do not have prisms like standard binoculars should have and are made up of 2 element lenses. They will end up in your closet or trashcan after 1 day to a week you get them, and will most likely make you lose your interest in binoculars and telescopes!! If you really wanted to scan the crowds go get a pair of real binoculars,
Orion Telescope, look at the Scenic ones, they cost $70 and they are FULLY MULTI COATED Porro-Prism binoculars, No not the Cheap ruby coatings you get at sport stores that just make the image have a green hue and make everything worse. They also have a much wider angles, more than double the field of view compared to those free binos. Also one tip for buying binoculars and telescopes, don't go for power, high power binoculars require tripods or the image will constantly vibrate(normally 10x binos will vibrate slightly and anything with more power than that will definately require a tripod). Look at the telescopes on there, you don't see any 625X telescopes, instead you see big telescopes, the bigger the telescope, the higher the contrast and more light gathering power, the better the resolution, which means better experience. The high powered 60mm refractors will be dim, and will vibrate on the flimsy tripod, and will be blurry. Don't be fooled, you will lose your interest in astronomy after owning one of those telescopes!
