<< I thought that the real problems with Dr. Laura were that she's a hypocrite who doesn't believe in divorce but is divorced herself, and as a therapist she's violated client confidentiality more than once, including with a client who was a politician.
If it's just a matter of liberals vs. conservatives, the conservatives are in the majority when it comes to talk radio, and conservative Dennis Prager doesn't receive any criticism of his morals (but he's a class act).
I've found that the more a person moralizes publicly, the worse their morals usually are. >>
I listen to Dr. Laura's show quite a bit, I'm a talk show junkie I'm sure she isn't everyone's cup of tea, but you should really be more accurate if you're going to speak out on the subject. Dr. Laura is not against all divorce, not at all. She *is* against parents divorcing who are in a non-abusive relationship and simply want to "move on" or have "fell out of love", this is because she is a child advocate. I think there is widom in that philosophy, why should a child pay the price for their parents transient emotions? She openly admits she has been divorced, there were no children from her previous marriage.
I'm not sure what your are referring to regarding breach of client confidentiality, but rest assured if it happened she would be in court on the losing side.
BTW Dennis Prager is a good guy but we don't get him in this market, we are starved for quality talk radio here in the DTW area.
