I agree with bonk. It is not an issue about progress, it's just that people are still beefed up about box cutters and 9/11. Phatcow, you really should leave the little cave your computer is in and go to NY sometime. Try talking to people (with your mouth) and you will see that the box cutter comment will bring some ill-feeling; in fact, I dare you to tell it to a member of the FDNY. The comment about insensitivity holding back progress is logically flawed. Cries of insensitivity imply finding an alternate venue to achieve the goal but not avoid it altogether.

I totally agree with you but are we all supposed to hide behind the fact that it happened? Everything is over with, lets just face it. I had a friend in Tower One that died but I'm not going to cringe every time someone brings the subject up.

Rest assured that I am chilled out...and have said all I intend to say on the matter...except....
that it really is a shame that one person cannot make a single comment in regard to another person's tasteless (in my opinion) comment without someone else belittling them because they have strong feelings about a horrible tragedy and implying that they are a spineless cry baby. I did not attempt to belittle the person that made the initial comment...just expressing (as he or she did) my feelings toward the comment . It might be different if this phatcow person knew me on a personal level and then formed their opion of me...I was certainly NOT my intent to cause World War III on this site!
AND for those that 'agreed' with me...Thank you..and for those who did not (in a civil manner of course)..that's ok too...but I believe that insensitivity is why we (the human race) are in the shape that we are in today!
