Heh, I wouldn't put too much regard into what carfax reports. I entered the VIN for my truck that was completely totalled last year and it reported that is had a spotless record with no wrecks. This also happened with my brother's Bronco.

Just a note.

They don't report salvaged vehicle for some reason, only title changes so if you had a car at 0K and sold it to someone at 23K they'll list that.

And then if that someone roll back the meter to 10K and sold it, it'll show that the next title @ whatever date is 10K.

yes it's not that great but to catch roll backs, it's pretty decent.
