My cheapo 5190 @voicestream got those ringtones perfectly.

Hope they do not charge for receiving the ringtone, since I played them a lot. I played alart on demand for a while, before I knew they cost 20c/each.

I just roll my eyes when someone puts in their 2 cents of bashing. No need for you to even
bother wasting your time in this thread.

What is good about having a personalized ring, is that you dont get confused when someone
elses phone rings.

but my phone (motorola t193) isn't supported ....it's a relatively new phone, and it does have embedded graphics already in the phone (animated menus and crap) and it also has some 'Download' slots in the ring tones section. I probably have to email zingy to find out, but does anyone here know if my phone will be suppported?!?!? The logos and ringtones are super cool! I currently have my phone on vibrate cuz all 382570875 ring tones that came w/ it are g@y.

i'm sure he wasn't bashing riz....just a little anti-cell phone rant i'm sure - all in good fun

Has anybody else with Cingular GSM tried it?

Yup, I have an 8290 using Cingular in Southern CA and I could get ring tones from Zingy, no problem.

For people who has high-end phones, since you can edit your ringtone, so why fuzz around here? Just trying to show us you got an expensive phone (and do not know how to use it)?

For fellow cheapo 5190 owner, no, our phone does not support logo.

Are you talking about me?
8290 is a high-end phone? LOL. 8290 is a free phone.
Do you know the fact that high-end phones like 61xx, 82xx, 88xx series don't have ringtone composer, only low-end phones like 33xx series have.

I'm using the old one with unlimited free sms, I'm wondering if that could be the problem.

My 8260 was free AR w/ AT&T

Thanks for the cool site....I went to AT&T Wireless's page and they charge 99cents per ringtone..

you know what,
I got my 8290 in jan for $0 from asian cellphone store in LA.
at that time, 3390 was $0 too, later it was even negative $50 to 100,
but then later, after pacbell changed name to cingular, they restricted cellphone stores to carry cingular only and sell phone at cingular's msrp, if they're catched not doing so for twice or third, cingular won't let them to sell cingular phone and service anymore, cingular really sent undercovers to check them.
it's about from Mar or Apr, no more free 8290 and even 3390 costs you some bucks.

I am the founder and CEO of Zingy (www.zingy.com). I am happy that you like the site. We are working very hard to improve our connectivity with operators and the number of ringtones and logos available on the site.

Currently we are adding tones on a fairly adhoc basis, but shortly we will be adding them weekly based on the Billboard results, new movie releases, and user suggestions. Moreover we are working on new mobile entertainment content not available anywhere else.

As for being free, we'll try to keep it up as long as we can, but we may have to charge one of these days given that we bear the SMS sending fees and the copyright fees on every download. We'll see how much revenues we can generate by selling ads on the site, and maybe by charging for some of our new non-ringtone content, and we'll take it from there...
