For those that aren't aware, they really did trademark this.

I remember reading that it is a protest against stupid patents that have been given out.
In particular, I believe it is a protest against Amazon's??? (or was it buy.com's) patent for 1 click ordering of products over the internet.

I love despair, they're the only store I've ever been to on the web, where you can enjoy ordering things. It seems obvious to me that they never actually charged $5 for this, since the only other ones they have are &quot;this item is currently on back-order&quot;. It's just another way for them to add humor to their already great site. I bought a calendar and a poster from them a while back, and am happy I did.
