I have a PCX1100. Can you give more info? What did it do to it? Since I first started checking a few days ago (Thr), I've been getting about 1250 / 350 most of the time, and even got a earlier 883 / 349 today. All terrible, but nothing seems to have been corrupted.Originally posted by: jozone
The update currupted whatever bios is in the modem (had a Toshiba 1100).
Comcast came yesterday to fix it, what a pain in the ass. Everything is working fine right now, but I dont actually notice a difference.
They just want you to be able to hit your invisible download caps faster. Still, that's probably going to be a bit faster than my 1.5 DSL connection. Enjoy!Originally posted by: popeye44
784 uploads and 5mbit downloads are going to be available for 10.00 more a month.

I did get an email yesterday about the upgrade.
But if the speedtest site is far away, and busy, won't that affect your speeds? Not quite sure how they work.
ie. The Speakeasy location at dslreports says it's very busy, and is in Cali, whereas I'm in TN.
So the speedtests do depend on location then right?Originally posted by: alien42
