I haven't been around much but I think this is a good deal. I am a typical American ($8000) in debt and figure "I pay 14.99% on other cards, might as well have a laptop". For all of the rest of you who haven't learned the credit card lesson yet ... I would advise stay clear. The idea is to get you in debt and then make you forget to pay or take out more so they make money.

Credit card companies make money off of your interest and finance charges. The reason there are so many credit card companies is because there are so many people who pay finance fees.

I will use online banking to keep it right above 3000 and get my new laptop. Reduced fees, lower rate, and a nice benefit. Its good to be in debt.

Got my laptop yesterday, it's not the evo, it's an nx9005 has the same basic features, a faster Athlon XP 2200+ mobile, dvd-rom, 256MB pc2100, but only a 20GB hard drive instead of the 30Gb they feature on the web site. but instead of the meager 14" lcd, they showed for the evo, it has a 15" tft (SWEET) $949 on hp's web site configured like this with a 30Gb hdd. So I figure would normally run ~$925 if they had the option for the 20Giger.
