Blockbuster isn't a bad deal, but as someone said above most of the newer movies have a wait time. There's only a few that I've found that were available now.... so you do have to keep on top of your list. I'm in Connecticut and my movies were mailed from New York. Ordered them on Friday and movies were received on Monday (yesterday). Also, Netflix just lowered their price to $17.99 (or something like that) so I'm sure I'll be staying with them. Usually takes a day to get them from/to Netflix.

Holy crap! I just got an email from Blockbuster letting me know my Shrek 2 coupon was available and that I can take it to Blockbuster on Nov. 5 th and pick my copy up. Looks like it is true!! Anyone else get this email?? I'm going to cancel though, taking 3 days to get rentals. I'm in Atlanta and the DC is in Charlotte. Unless they put a new DC in Atlanta, this aint gonna cut the butta...

Wal-Mart DVD Rental is ASS.

It SUX with a capital SUX Delay after delay during my trail period the DVDs flowed like water after trial was over average time for a DVD was 8 days ( iam only a 5 hour drive from the distr facility for the movies) Block Busteris like 2 bucks more than wal mart but you get 3 movies out at a time and 2 per month form the BM store.

I went with the Blockbuster 2 week free trial instead of the free copy of Shrek 2. This is my third free trial offer for DVD rentals by mail. I signed up with Walmart first for their 2 DVD 30 day free trial. I only managed to get 7 DVD's in the 30 day trial period before canceling. I never kept any of the DVD's longer than overnight. Walmart was soooo slow (3 - 4 day shipping) and managed to lose one of the DVD's. Next, I signed up with Netflix for their 3 DVD 2 week free trial. Managed to get 9 DVD's in the 2 week trial period before canceling. They had the best availability and shipped super fast - often next day delivery between Chattanoga and Nashville TN. They also managed to lose one of the DVD's. Next, I signed up with Blockbuster for their 3 DVD 2 week free trial. They sent me an email with a link to coupons for 2 free store rentals - nice. Availability looks pretty bad as just about everything on my queue shows a "short wait" and I still haven't received my first 3 DVD's even though they shipped 3 days ago. At least I managed to get all 4 seasons (16 DVD's) of the Sopranos from Walmart and Netflix. The mail delivery system managed to lose 2 DVD's (one from Walmart and one from Netflix) and 2 of the DVD's I received from Walmart were so scratched I couldn't play/copy them and had to request replacements. Here's a tip for getting the most out of these free trials: Sign up early in the morning (around 1:00 AM) on a Monday and your first shipment should go out that day.
