Not to say that this isn't a hot deal or anything like that, but...isn't "free coupon" sorta redundant? I mean, how many coupons do you know of where you actually had to directly pay money explicitly for the purpose of getting one?

Can't actually see the coupon? Need to send to printer? I don't want to get spyware...anyone able to get an actual image of it?

As much as I would like a free bottle or some money off I'm not gonna install crap just to get it.

I guess I'm lucky. My ophthalmologist gives us free sample kits whenever we need them. I haven't bought any of this for over six years.

I assume you check the expiration dates on those samples...doctors' offices are known to freely unload samples at no charge if only because the stuff is getting close to reaching the expiration date. Heck--one time I got a a bunch of free samples but when I looked at the date after I got home, it turned out that some of the stuff had already expired, while others were set to expire within the week.

I'm not saying that doctors aren't doing you a favor by giving you a bunch of free samples, but they may be doing so for motives besides out of kindness.

Yes, we check the expiration date. I have to buy new contacts every three months and so does my wife. They give us more samples with every purchase. We stagger these visits so we always have a supply and if we need more, they will give them to us. I've often wondered about this, but I'm also not complaining!
I guess it's a benefit of living in a semi-small town with some competition.

Gee, and I guess it doesn't take much to get your panties all riled up in a bunch...

I dunno how my reply could have been read in such a way for you to reply like you did; all I said was to make sure that the expiration dates on the samples are still good. Plus I said that there wasn't anything wrong with free samples--just make sure that they still have some life left in them--consider it a PSA, if you will.

It's people like yourself who read way too much into things...:disgust:

hahaha,

too bad Firefox can't view it. I get an error when I hit Print:

Invalid or missing parameters
This can be caused by a personal firewall (ex. ZoneAlarm)
or if you are using a pop-up blocker. If you are getting
this message and you are using AOL, try launching Internet
Explorer to print your coupon.

I have none of those above.

Yeah I got the same "bogus" message; went ahead and used IE...which leads me to the following off-topic rant (maybe)--

So this past Sunday I try to view/print it via Firefox and got the aforementioned message; I then fire up IE to see if I could view the coupon for printing--after a few tries I was able to successfully print it. Fast-forward to yesterday afternoon--I fire up my PC to do some more online browsing (using Firefox)...after a few minutes had elapsed I get numerous friggin' pop-up IE browser windows and icons appearing on my desktop! I close them all out, but a few minutes later the windows appear again! Turns out I had the VX2 malware and other friggin' malware crap that somehow managed to bury themselves into my system. And boy, these are tough buggers to get rid of, too--just blowing away the files isn't good enough 'cuz they wrap themselves into the registry...

Anyways, I can't prove that going to the website that generates the coupon may have been the culprit of the malware getting on my computer but it seems very suspicious...especially given the context of the above "error" message asking you to use IE to print the coupon, and the timing of the whole thing. If true...well, I wouldn't wish this upon anybody so please make sure you have some good spyware and adblocking software in place, along with some AV and firewall software for good measure.

P.S.--after all this, I was eventually able to view the coupon in Firefox after some tweaking around...
