In order to due the state, you will also have to do the Federal.

Best bet is to get the papers from your state Web site and then fill out using the required numbers from the Federal.

You may be able to find some-one that has last years state Tax S/W, but you will need to also load the Federal info before doing the state.

i used taxact last year and it was splendid. i logged in this year and it imported all of my information from last year. i think it's $10 for federal if you want to have this functionality, but federal filing is free if you want to type everything in all over again. i recall state being <$20

Well I found TurboTax05 Deluxe on my hard drive, so I was able to load that and get my last year's state done. I owe $1 And what's better....is that there are no penalties or delinquent filing/paying fees because all the fees come out to less than $1 each and you cant put cents on the form

Having used both TaxCut and TurboTax I will say that TaxCut is crappy software. H&R Block deliberately makes it crappy for the sole purpose of trying to drive you to file using their people. I also don't believe it goes through every deduction, it couldn't or they wouldn't be able to claim that coming in and paying full fees will net you a bigger refund. Just my opinion.
