Davak and the other MD's who have provided their time,
Don't worry about what Justincase says, he/she probably stuck one of those ear candles in the wrong orifice while grilling up a fat juicy seaweed burger. I find great amusement in the defense of the ear candles, maybe the holistic know-it-all Justincase can explain how drying the external ear canal can cure a middle/inner ear infection (the most common form among children).
Regarding the "just one tablespoon of dairy creates up to a quart of mucus" comment, yep that's what happens to me, everytime I drink an 8 oz glass of milk I swell up with at least 120 GALLONS of mucus, really makes my ankles bulge.
And the "all doctors are pawns of drug companies" comment almost made me laugh my coffee out my nose. I personally know 6 doctors and would consider them some of the most open-minded individuals who are not easily swayed by unsubstantiated advertising. If someone could read the entire post, the MD's in this thread suggested alternative medications with significantly lower costs. The drug companies must not have broken enough fingers to keep these doctors from turning on them.
Get a life, if you don't like milk, stay away from the dairy isle at the grocery store. As for me, my daughter drinks (and will continue to drink) at least 8 oz of milk a day until a REPUTABLE source tells me that she should do otherwise.
Thanks for the hot deal Joker, sorry to see that it has turned into a flame war.
