if you use firefox with the adblock extension you dont see the text based ads in your emails

I use firefox with the adblock extension and I'm not sure how to remove the frame with the ads without deleting the entire page.

Could you share with me how you did it?

It's not the ads some people may have a problem with. It's the fact that Google is scanning your email in order to determine what ads to try to send to you. Ad blocking isn't going to stop that scanning.

:evil: I wonder what kind of ads I'd get if I sent myself a bunch of emails with the terms "warez" and "crackz" in them? Can you imagine what kind of ads you'd get if you were to discuss BREAST cancer?

I think that the screening thing is over-blown.

All they do is have a server look for certain keywords and put those ads in the the email.
