Free Equifax Credit Report + Fico Score from Household Bank

Dead - sweepstakes is over and I didn't see a way to get the free report. Any other good free ways out there?

As of 1/1/04, aren't you entitled to one free credit report each year? I read this in Kiplinger's as a new law that went into effect.

Of course I have no idea how to go about getting it free, the magazine just had a snippet on it, not the complete details.

According to equifax here, only some states get it free and it seems like then only if you order by mail or phone. Online is still $9 it looks like.

I've heard that Money 2004 comes with a deal for a free report and free year of monitoring - I think I'm gonna go that route since I wanna keep an eye on things for a while.

The article mentioned the last half of 2004 for when the FACT 2003 will take effect.

I thought you ware always allowed 1 free report each year ...huh Well anyways ...The reports do not give you your FICO score.. The only website that I know that gives you your true fico score(the one that lenders see) is MYFICO.com... its ususally like $14.95 for a report ..the code "pvn814" should get you it for $9.99 report and true FICO. Im not sure if the code works anymore but im sure one that does is not to hard to find.
