Link works now (at least for me with auto policies). You can have basic/deluxe for free, premiere is $20. Includes filing and state tax...sweet!

After you create a State Farm account, you'll need to add at least one policy for the link to appear.

This is tempting...

no processing fees to submit, right?

I have homeowners insurance through SF so I may just go this route.

No fees for anything, you just have to be willing to let them store your data on their servers.

I downloaded the 'basic' turbotax software via the link. No option that I can see for the state software. It says you need to buy the state software.

Anyone able to enter their state tax info?

oops, I see 'turbotax online' hmm. Now to see if I can transfer my data to an online account?

I did this last year without any problems...worked for my girlfriend too...we're both under the same policy...great deal IMO...

I was a big fan of TurboTax online as well...very easy to use, saves all your info...etc...

In for 1 for my parents

I'll use one of the IRS eFile links for my own taxes -- I'll have to pay $7.95 for state filing. I don't want to bother opening up SF checking account

Just finished my free filing - thx State Farm!

Only complaint was that I had gone thru the link when I originally started but finished later by going to www.turbotax.com and logging in and they tried to charge me $60. I logged out and went back in via the State Farm link and it was $0. Kinda odd that they forgot that I was supposed to get it for free but wasn't that hard to figure out.

Thx again OP!

Just did this for my parents, it worked very well. Very fast too. Can't see any reason not to use it if you have any sort of State Farm account.

I started my taxes a while ago and I just finished them up. And it wants to charge me! I guess the same thing has happened - I started out using the State Farm link but today I logged in directly from the TT site. So I went to the State Farm site and logged in but the link is gone now! I hope it has something to do with this message I'm getting "Your account information is currently unavailable. Please try again later." Hopefully once my info becomes available again and they see that I have a policy, the link will reappear.

A tip o' my hat to OP! Thank you. I used this to purchase the premium version for $20. TurboTax online is easy to use and covers most of the facets of the Federal tax code.

yeah, but what if you need to file for state and you want direct deposit. They got me for $35 last year I believe after you add on those two. :-/

This offer is still valid this year, but you must be logged in to statefarm.com with a valid policy, bank account/CD, or credit card to see the TurboTax free file link.

Yep it works perfectly. Just logged in and downloaded a copy of Deluxe a little while ago for free with no problems.
