Forget that. I've ordered from TCWO multiple times without problems. Love the Lifesavers.

Interesting grammar.
Look, are you familiar with Reseller Ratings, Spelling Bee?
We rated this "Garaged Outfitt" in the TOP 10 of all major internet vendors.

That guy should have been able to exchange his $20 heatsink for another one if the specs were incorrect but there's more to the story if you read all the posts. There are plenty of vendors who gave us problems and we should expose them here but this is about the big picture. Facts are facts: Reseller Ratings speak for themselves.

P.S. You started TG celebrations early and were on something when you wrote this post. No one writes like that sober.

Yeah that company is horrible. I ordered a CPU and motherboard before and they didn't ship it out until 3 weeks later.

Where did you see the 1.2Ghz figure? If it was on the box, it's possible the box was printed when the fastest Athlon was 1.2Ghz so it was only rated for that speed, but once higher speeds came out the HSF was rated for the higher speed CPUs.

That datasheet is incorrect and Thermaltake changed their website immediately after they realized the mistake. I notified TCWO.com of this mistake and they refused to do anything about it. That's NOT good customer service, imho. And given the fact that my T-bird 1.4 processor was running around 60* at heavy load, (and eventually crashing from overheating) didn't really make the situation any better.

Ok, give it up. Here is the spec page and guess what. They do rate that to a 1500xp. Your mistake man. This is a hot deal forum, not a place for you to post your arrogance and ignorance.

I ordered two refurbed Gigabyte GA-7VRX 2.0 motherboards and one of them is the 1.1 rev. But it was stated on the order form that both were the 2.0 rev. I'll probably just keep the 1.1 rev because it did come with the resistor fix so it should probably handle the geforce 4 power requirements. I just wish that they called first before they sent it out improperlly...

I have ordered at least 10 times from TCWO without a problem. Since I am in California, I prefer them to Newegg to save on sales taxes!

The longest I have ever had to wait for an order was 1 week!!

I have the pleasure of living only 10 miles from TCWO - they are simply a great bunch of people. Always friendly with the folks that treat them decent but very entertainingly will fight back with the people that are smelly. Sounds like StiSev might be one of the types that flies right off the handle at the first sight of cloudy weather...here's a tip SevSti...ease up and roll with it a bit. You get much better "service" if you don't treat people like a "servant"...put that in your logs...

I had purchased 3 times with TCWO, very happy.

You guys please give StiSev a break: sure, the fan is good; sure, the fan does the job -- but that was not what TCWO advertised, and StiSev did not want it. I don't know StiSev is "might be one of the types that flies right off the handle at the first sight of cloudy weathe", or not; he certainly was not the one made the "incorrect" spec.

And, I don't understand, a company honored $100 wrong pricing of P4, what was their concern not to give a refund, or send a higher rated fan. It is only fair.

If someone from TCWO reads this thread, please contact StiSev, hopefully things can be straightened out.

Not to distract attention to this perfectly entertaining pissing match, but it seems like the Antec SLK2600AMB 300W case for $64 delivered might be a reasonable deal.

Drive Bay Configuration:

* (4) External 5.25"
* (2) External 3.5"
* (2) Internal 3.5"

Specifications:

* Main board: Standard ATX and MicroATX
* Expansion slots: 7
* Power supply: Antec 300Watt SL300S
* Dimensions (DxWxH): 17.3" X 7" X 18.1"
* Antec Metallic Bronze color

I wonder how the Antec SL300S compares to a low end SPI 300 watt power supply?

The Biostar M7VIG is offered for $59. That's $3 cheaper than the cheapest on Pricewatch (Newegg) and no sales tax in California. The M7VIG is a dandy VIA KM266 board with both SDRAM and DDR slots and integrated audio, video and sound. The Biostar M7VKQ is a decent cheap SDRAM only integrated (vid, LAN, sound) Socket A board for only $50 delivered. That's the cheapest KLE133 on Pricewatch.

Any other good deals at TCWO?

I'm curious, did you do like the thread said: Make sure you select UPS Ground instead of the default Priority mail. The UPS ground rates are reasonable.
Or is this what you got for UPS ground?

i agree it's ugly but newegg has better pictures of it

A word of caution: bought a Biostar M7VIG Motherboard for $59 shipped. Received motherboard today, and apparently its a returned or refurbed board.

The Socket A heatsink retention tabs are scratched and broken, there are screwdriver marks right below the retention tab, and the ports on the back have scratches on them caused by an IO shield, which indicates the board had been mounted.

I am none too happy about this, I hope its Biostar's fault to repackage used motherboards, not TCWO.

Well, I don't know where the hell johnyguru was when the customer service rep refused to exchange the HSF. I paid $15 or $20 extra from a AMD OEM fan (for a 1.4ghz). I told him I was getting 55*C on my 1.4ghz T-bird at IDLE! (I wouldn't even dare overclock it[/b].) You know what rep says? "That's nothing! I have a box that runs around those temps just fine!" What a bunch of crock. The point was I spent almost $20 extra on a "UPGRADED HEATSINK +FAN!"

:disgust:

55 degrees celsius is nothing incredibly high. Even for an "upgraded hs/fan." Crock? Please.

my XP 1700+ with stock fan and HS run at about 55.. no big deal..

Second off,
If you deal with overclocking you need to have at least enough sense to check Official ThermalTake web site before investing in higher end cooling.

I've seen newegg make mistakes in descriptions like this and it's a vendor we all swear by here.
Back to the point, TCWO rocks and STiSev's talking sh1t about them.

TCWO has always been fine for me,

However, lets not all turn into fanboys here and run for the pitchforks

if they misrepresented a product, they should exchange or refund for him. simple as that. He shouldnt being paying for their mistakes....
