I went there yesterday and the 1/4 lb Double Stack w/ Cheese, which has been on the $1 value menu for as long as I've eaten at Wendy's, is now $1.39. WTF is up with that? A 40% increase on an item that has been $1 for decades?
Have to send them a nasty note about that one.

This follow up is just the best. Looks like that dumb broad brought so much attention to herself, the police found that she was involved in all kinds of scams.
I could just see her "To do" list
#1 - Spill hot coffee on crotch, sue McDonalds. (never mind, someone beat me to it.)
Sorry, I didn't realize that her lawyer was a member of this board. How much of the $6 million did you get?Originally posted by: mjrpes3

You should do a little research on that case before labeling it a frivolous lawsuit. Here are some facts about it:
1. The old actually was severely burned by the coffee. The jury saw pictures and doctor testimony related to this.
2. McDonald's had a history of disregarding this issue. Many people had complained before about this. The reason McDonald's kept coffee that hot was so that people were less likely to drink the whole thing while in ther restaurant, and therefore less likely to get refills (saves money).
3. The jury, in the end, openly decided that the woman's case was strong and merited the large penalty against McDonald's. One jury member in particular was very skeptical about this case coming in, but the evidence changed his mind completely.
4. The woman only ended up getting part of that $6 million.

Do you really want to eat a burger that costs $1? That means they put like $.20 worth of ingredients into it...
