I remember a similar deal with TDK CDRs where after PM/rebate I ended up making $20+. I had to go back twice before they give me the PM and they didn't even give me my rebate forms. But I downloaded from there site and sent it in without a hitch. Just remember if they don't give you the rebate form, don't hassel with them and print it from the web. I'm going to pick up a few spindle for myself as I got some videos to archive.

alohaboy, how come the San Fran store knew that there is a rebate involved? The rebate slip does not print out at the store.

Stupid Milwaukee Circuit City has them on sale for the same price after CC rebate. Don't think you can price match with that situation. They were out too, but still.

There's a whole lot of room for interpretation in there. I think they intended it to mean that they wouldn't price match a price after rebate, which seems fair, but some thick-headed store manager who had his spine and balls properly removed in the training session could say either price having a rebate attached to it voids the price match. Just keep trying until you get someone who remembers rule #1, "The customer is always right."

This statement includes the term local store which probably rules out BB a couple hundred miles away, but you never know until you try.

CC will only PM with your local competitors on their list within your region.

I just got back from the local Circuit City. I showed the Best Buy ad to the cashier and she walked it over to a manager who quickly approved a price match at $9.99 each! I picked up two which is the limit listed on the rebate forms. Wow!
