Oh yeah, BTW it works great. Blocks the popups in a really unobtrusive way (your icon changes for a second). It also tallys the number of blocked popups in the current session in the toolbar icon.

Any form fields that can be filled in are highlighted in yellow background.

The Blogger tool looks to post the current link to some Blogger site.

I love the Google toolbar, and built in pop up stopping just sweetens the deal!

I've been using Mozilla's Firebird for a while now - it blocks popups automatically, and has easy plugins you can add to block banner ads, which works reasonably well when you tell it what to block (except for when they hide the image inside some php - blah). I think it's great for people still using IE though . i'm gonna install it here at work (since i don't want to mess around with beta browsers for business).

Although the concept of storing my credit card in its new built-in form filler is really scary - imagine if someone got a hold of your computer, they could order anything from anywhere :Q

Think twice on this...Google records your IP and every keystroke.
Let the big guns log in on this.

Edited to add...
This is in no way a thread poop. This simply needs to be investigated before you "trust" G:evil::evil:gle.

I use the Google toolbar and I use the popup blocker from endpopups.com...it works really well in that it doesn't block "every" pop up. It has some intelligence in that if you click on a link on a web page that spawns a popup window, it assumes you meant for that popup to happen and allows it. But it blocks all the other "spontaneous" popups. That was my one complaint with most blockers, they just blocked everything...and if you try to use Outlook Web Access, to read a message it has to pop up in a new window...with the other products I had to remember to turn them off when using OWA...not so with endpopups.

Has anyone tried this Google blocker? Does it block "every" popup?

Thanks

I seems to block most unrequested popups, specifically it seems to block popups associated with:

Window.onLoad
Window.onBlur
Window.onFocus

but not

Window.onUnLoad
Link.onClick

The best example I can think of was when I tried it with a email.com account. Normally you have about 20 windows popping up when you check your email. The only one that appeard was one hwen I cloded the browser (Window.onUnload)

So far 26 popups have been blocked and I havn't noticed any annyoances.

Who sez so?

I use the advanced options... did you know that ANY website can record your IP as soon as you visit?? <<and most do it too.

Overview

Google is committed to helping its users ensure their privacy.

Google may collect information about web pages that you are viewing when the advanced functionality is enabled. However, this advanced functionality is optional, and can be easily disabled and re-enabled at any time (by selecting "Privacy Information..." in the Toolbar's "Google" menu.)

You will know the advanced functionality is enabled when the PageRank meter is visible on your Google Toolbar.

Google only collects the normal type of information that is already available to the websites you visit. This means, Google cannot collect, for example, your name, email address, telephone number, etc.

Google will not sell or provide personally identifiable information to any third parties.

Google will notify you if it changes these policies and will give you the opportunity to discontinue using the Google Toolbar.

Dave's Search Bar is better than google's toolbar. It allows you to search hundreds of search engines as opposed to just google (yahoo, msn, alltheweb, and also things like amazon, dictionary.com, imdb, cddb, etc).

It doesn't have pop-up blocking but most programs will do that better than google's anyway, as well as block ads, cookies, scripts, etc. Ad Muncher works best and it's free also

Kerio caught 'Google Toolbar' trying to 'phone home' so I quit using it. Google actually sent an email
asking 'Why?'...I told them...no response from them.

Only trust your own privacy policies.
