Here are the requirements and procedures for receiving the Foundations in Hypnotherapy Course for no charge:

You must have a high speed Internet connection (DSL or Cable) to view streaming video. If you do not have a high speed Internet connection please indicate that on the enrollment form below.

You must be 18 years or older to receive this offer.

You must live more than 50 miles from HMI's Tarzana, California location.

You must be fluent in English.

You must complete and submit the request form below. HMI does not sell information to anyone. You can request to be removed from HMI's mailing list at anytime.

This course consists of six (6), two hour Streaming Video lessons. You will receive a link for one (2 hour) Streaming Video lesson and printed course chapter at a time. When you complete the first lesson you must successfully complete a short quiz and submit it by email. Once received and reviewed you will be sent the next Streaming Video link and printed course chapter, until you complete all six lessons (total of 12 hours Streaming Video instruction).

You agree to complete this course within 30 days of receiving your first lesson.
Once you have completed all 6 lessons you must complete a written exam and oral discussion with an HMI instructor via telephone. Successful completion of this last step will earn you an HMI Certificate of Completion for the Foundations in Hypnotherapy course and Certification as "Hypnotist" from the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472.

You agree to abide by all State and local laws in your area regarding the use of this material and you understand it is your responsibility to contact your State Department of Consumer Affairs, or the equivalent in your area, to discover what those laws are.

Note: International students outside the Continental U.S. are responsible for long distance charges incurred and must initiate call.

For anyone who is skeptical...hypnosis is very real. Probably the best part of my high school grad party. No, the kids had no contact with the hypnotist.

Give it a try, but you do have to be willing to be hypnotized. That's key.

Another thing about hypnosis is that your body wont 'do' anything thats harmful to itself. I think transferring all your money would fall into that category

i signed up too, got the confirmation email like amdiggidy.

Watched the first 5 minutes of the hypnosis video. yes, it is VERY 70's. its basically a VHS rip online.

My guess is they're tryign to sell the book "Professional Hypnotism Manual - John G. Kappas, Ph.D." which is $27.95. so they're giving away the grainy 1970's video they probably dug up from the cellar to promote the book.

Hypnosis Motivation Institute was asked two years ago to stop saying, "HMI is America's first and only nationally accredited hypnotism school," which is an outright lie. They have refused to remove this fraudulent information on their web site despite repeated requests.

Still might be fun to watch the old videos but I wouldn't call them afterword for any certificate paperwork or whatever it is they offer, and I would just a fake a registration name/address and use a junk email - watch the vids then lose the email after the videos are done and disappear from their emails or junk mail potential...

wow, quite a find! I guess i'd have doen the same research if they were asking for my credit card number to verify my identity or something! But since they required no serious information I just went with it.

Ah well. even if they do start asking for $23 union fees or any crap like that I just won't pay it. If the videos can teach me a trick or two, I couldn't care less if i'm "certified." Plus, I'm a cynic and don't believe in this crap, so even if i can pull of a trick or two that'd be quite cool, although obviously quite highly unlikely.
