The "In God We Trust," motto, scribbled all over our currency, public buildings, etc., is an absolute abomination to the so-called "separation of church and state" and an alleged nondenominational government. I am appalled by this post.

Not to start a war, but do some research into your history, buddy. "Separation of church and state" was written in the constitution for one reason: to prevent the government from forcing people to worship any one particular religion. America was started as a haven for all those religiously persecuted by government forced religions. In the words of Thomas Jefferson, the "separation of church and state" means: "That no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious Opinions"Originally posted by: ValsalvaYourHeartOut

Simply put, it is illegal for anyone to persecute you for what you believe. That's what "separation of church and state" means.

You would even be alive in the US as most people came here to the US to escape religious persecution.

Right, because the residents of their former homeland were sick of the bible-thumping and puritanical beliefs just as much as we are now in the 21st century.
