I just got 2nd generation 4gb blue ipod today. It was a relief not to get a 1st generation ipod.

But I want a silver one. Does anyone live in San Francisco or nearby and got a brand new 2nd generation silver one and want to exchange for a blue one instead? If so, I would love to meet somewhere with you to do an exchange. Please pm me.

Will any stores do the exchange for me without receipt? Call one of the BB and they said no.

I got my 4gb blue 2nd gen. yesterday. I transfered my music files to my wife's laptop (I already have a 1st gen mini), to be transfered to the new IPOD, and found out
that I-Tunes won't let you put them on a 2nd IPOD without deactivating them on the 2nd.. WTF.. ridiculous.
Glad I only have 10-15 songs from I-tunes that I couldn't get elsewhere. Crappy 128kbs AAC to boot

Just got mine today. Its a second generation 4GB. I was hoping for the 6GB as these don't carry the $249 tag they used too...plus citi will probably mark that amount as interest received. Ohh well, its free. I have the blue one and might try swapping with the local store and see if I can get a silver.

Finally got mine... It's the 4GB ipod. It has a sheet of paper reminding that we will be charged 249.99 if we don't meet the one year agreement. There must be something wrong when it only cost 199 retail.

no go, basically all the ipods htey had for hte promotion were 4GB, so after hearing that i wasn't expecting to complain my way to a 6gb. i let them know i'm still happy though, and am currently charging my ipod!
