Some kids I know who were desperate for internet service just disconnected it in disgust.

Especially on slower older computers, it is hard to bear.

They use the "Gluon" small banner that Webflyer used to use.

The same CTRL-ALT-DEL trick still applies.

One of the best(last)free ISPs.

AmEx ISP ain't bad. BTW, my roommate discovered that Netzero's 40 hrs./mo. cap is PER HOUSEHOLD, not per user!

Juno sucks too UNTIL my son(13) found shortcut to juno on taskbar dials up without fully loading juno no acess to e-mail BUT no banner or timer log!!!!!!! I was allready on my 3rd acct. until we found this. JUST DON'T close advertisements they stay on behind all yor pages --can be moved to bottom of screen so you dont start the banner!!!!!!!!

I never used Netzero. It's a crap. FreeDSL is the best for me, the banner is small as your status bar on your windows screen and it only display scrolling text which won't slow down your traffic. The best is "never busy".

I think I heard somewhere that some people using the latest versions dont' have banners.... *whistling whistling... but only forty hours kinda stinks.

why don't you guys just get a real ISP its only 9.99 a month that's cheap. Better then sitting there and waiting for it to load and the banner slows you down.

to be honest, i have found netzero's numbers to be very fast... over 50k. and no DSL / cable in my area.

For the person that asked.. yes the Cobaltcard does appear to work. Got my CobaltCard funded today and was able to sign it up as "other" type of Amex card. Worked like a charm. I am using this dialup on a 66mhz 486 IBM laptop. The maximum resolution is 640X480. I do not see any Amex logo anywhere unless you are all talking about that tiny blue icon the software added to my windows system tray. Possibly the low, pathetic resolution doesn't allow it to display. Luckily this laptop is my road pc and it doesn't do much except check e-mail and fight loading websites occasionally (this is the ultimate slow machine). Cool! Thanks for the deal!

I was using this service for a while unitl my Freedsl started... this is a very fast and reliable service for AMEX card holders .. jump at it before they start introducing hiddens catches .. there are also ways to hide the banner .. if you want the program i think it's at
